How I Spent My Summer Vacation

My dad said that we were going to start at the Grand Canyon. We drove for like 30 hours and got there early in the morning. I got my skateboard from the car and said I wanted to jump the canyon like Homer did in that episode of The Simpsons. Mom said no, but dad said it would be okay with a parachute. He got one from a park ranger and strapped it on me.
I started at the top of this really big hill. By the time I got to the bottom I was really moving fast. There was a ramp right by the edge, and I hit it just right. I was flying! The wind was rising up out of the canyon, pushing me up higher, and I could see the other side of the canyon getting closer. My skateboard fell into the canyon, which was a bummer because it was really cool.
Then I could see that I wasn’t going to make it, so I pulled the cord on the parachute. It came off in my hand, but the chute didn’t open and I started falling. Just then an eagle flew down and grabbed my shoulders. It flew me back over to the side where I started and set me down. My sister said that she recorded the whole thing on her phone, but that night when I watched it I found out that she had the camera wrong and it was a 20 minute selfie of her.
Next we went to the beach. There was a pirate ship anchored offshore. I decided to swim out to it and look it over. About halfway there I saw these fins sticking up out of the water. Sharks! They started swimming around me in circles. Then I felt something come up under each of my feet. Two dolphins lifted me up out of the water and swam me back to the shore. I spent the rest of the day making a 6 room sand castle with my sister.
The last part of our vacation was camping in a forest. We slept in a tent and cooked over a campfire. One morning a bear cub came into camp. I fed it some raisins and it started following me around. I heard a loud roar and saw the mother bear running toward me. There was a cave that I could crawl into, but the opening was too small for the bear. After a while it gave up and left. I got out, but it was dark and I was lost.
As I was trying to find my way back to camp I came upon a wolf with one paw caught in a trap. I used a branch to open the trap so the wolf could get out. Then it led me back to camp. Mom and dad were really happy to see me.
That night mom made s’mores. My sister tried to see who could eat the most. She threw up all over my (500 words).
