Love the article.

Similar story. After I found Mark Sisson and read all his work, I implemented his primal diet, keto and fasting. It was so effective for me that I took the next step and became a Primal Health Coach through his school.

"Given that, what business do I have telling folks what to eat? Fair point. What I do have is the results of an 8 year study involving the effects of diet on the health of two participants."

I've long stopped giving nutrition advice to people when they haven't asked for it. I find it more effective to live by example. Mind you, that doesn't always work either! People have to want to change, and seek out information for themselves.

Following. Recently lost 60 lbs with a combination of Ozempic, Weight Watchers and giving up my car, so walking. a Lot. More recently I had to go off Ozempic and I'm terrified of gaining it all back (even though the weight wasn't moving with O until I added WW). I finally feel good in my skin. Listening to the Keto whispers...

The scary part about Ozempic & its clones is that we don't know the long term effects. You don't need drugs to keep a healthy weight. I'll be rolling out part 2 in a week or so, and will explain how we do it. In the meantime, just do 2 things: 1) Minimize sugar intake, ESPECIALLY High Fructose Corn Syrup (Coke, Pepsi, etc.). Diet drinks are also not a good idea. There is a new water product called HINT that is zero everything, but has a very subtle taste of fruit in it. I'm using that at my daily meal. 2) Get OCD about reading labels. Anything that has any of the seed oils (Hateful 8) should be bypassed. Don't be afraid of butter. Also look for Keto ice cream: KETO brand, or Rebel (My favorite). These are high fat, low carb. Don't get hung up on counting calories or points. Walking is great - we do 5k every day. But don't assume that it will help with weight. It's more for keeping your body working optimally. Weight is lost in the kitchen.
