I love these easy to make and eat recipes! I've already picked up most of the ingredients so I'm ready to try Keto again. Last time I was floundering and didn't get much of any result at all. I have a question. You don't include other things that I love, like lettuce and tomato, on your burger. Is that because you don't like/need them or because they will compromise the diet's integrity?

We put all sorts of things on a burger, depending on the season and availability. I'm not much of a lettuce fan, and Costco's tomato offering is usually grown in a hothouse in Canada. Sometimes we put cheese on a burger, but usually I add ketchup from Primal Kitchen (No sugar or bad anything) or their Buffalo Sauce. This particular piece was not as much recipes as it was about what we use as ingredients. I'm sure that you noticed that not everything we eat is strictly Keto. It's not a religion, and trying to follow it as such will only frustrate you. Just lean heavily into protein and fat, keep sugar as low as possible, and be fanatical about avoiding seed oil, ESPECIALLY canola.

Thanks! That makes the whole thing all the more approachable. Sugar continues to be my biggest problem but I'm happy with tomato paste that only contains tomatoes rather than catsup and Primal Kitchen's bar-b-q sauce is wonderful. My eye is now catching the addition of seed oils quickly when I read ingredients. Thanks!
