The stress of 30 hours without sleep, watching a monitor and trying to will the numbers to come down, has left us both still recovering. While I understand that the ER (A&E) is designed to take action quickly, I came away with the feeling that I was the only one to read the metabolic panel lab results. And I'm not a doctor!
